Our Story
About Bambaruush & Digital Bambaruush Agency
We are a Mongolian technology company on a mission to digitize kindergarten communication across Mongolia. Since 2021, we have been building the platform that connects parents, teachers, and kindergartens into one unified ecosystem.
Who We Are
Digital Bambaruush LLC (Mongolian: Дижитал Бамбарууш ХХК) is a technology company based in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. We are the creators and operators of the Bambaruush kindergarten communication platform — the most widely used kindergarten-specific app in Mongolia.
The company was founded in 2021 with a singular vision: to transform how Mongolian kindergartens communicate with parents and manage their daily operations. At the time, most kindergartens relied on a patchwork of phone calls, paper notices, and informal social media groups to communicate with parents. There was no purpose-built solution for the Mongolian kindergarten system.
We saw an opportunity to build something that didn't exist: a comprehensive, Mongolian-language platform designed from scratch for the specific needs of Mongolian kindergartens, parents, and teachers. Not a localized version of an international product, but something truly native to Mongolia.
Our Mission
Our mission is to digitize and strengthen the three-way relationship between kindergartens, parents, and teachers in Mongolia. We believe that when these three parties are well-connected and well-informed, children receive better care and a stronger foundation for their educational journey.
Mongolia has approximately 1,400 kindergartens serving over 250,000 children between the ages of 2 and 6. Many of these institutions, particularly those outside Ulaanbaatar, still rely on manual processes for record-keeping, communication, and administration. Our goal is to bring every kindergarten in Mongolia onto a modern digital platform that saves time, reduces errors, and creates transparency for parents.
We measure our success not just in downloads or revenue, but in how effectively we help parents stay connected to their children's daily kindergarten experiences. When a parent in a meeting can quickly check how their child's day is going, or when a teacher can share a proud moment from the classroom in real time, that's the impact we are working toward.
Four Years of Building
Since our founding in 2021, the Bambaruush platform has undergone continuous development, evolving through three major versions to reach the comprehensive platform it is today.
Version 1.0 — The Foundation (2021)
The initial release focused on the core communication problem: connecting kindergartens with parents through a structured news feed and basic daily reports. We launched with a small group of kindergartens in Ulaanbaatar and gathered extensive feedback from teachers and parents on what features they needed most.
Version 2.0 — Expanding the Ecosystem (2022-2023)
Based on real-world usage data and feedback, we expanded beyond communication into kindergarten management. We added payment tracking with Mongolian bank integration, Cook's Corner for meal planning, Doctor's Corner for health records, and parent-teacher chat. This version transformed Bambaruush from a communication tool into a comprehensive management platform.
Version 3.0 — The Complete Platform (2024-Present)
The current version represents the full realization of our vision. We partnered with Let's Read Asia to launch a digital book library, redesigned the entire user experience for speed and clarity, added Stories-style content sharing, enhanced the daily report system with mood tracking and detailed behavioral observations, and built an administrator web dashboard for institutional management. Version 3.0 is the most stable, feature-rich, and polished release of Bambaruush to date.

What Drives Us
Mongolia has one of the youngest populations in East Asia, with a median age of around 28. The country's kindergarten system serves a critical role in early childhood development, but the technology infrastructure supporting these institutions has lagged behind other sectors.
We believe that early childhood education deserves the same quality of technology that other industries take for granted. A parent should be able to see how their child's day went with the same ease as checking a bank balance. A teacher should be able to share a classroom moment as easily as posting to social media. A kindergarten director should have a real-time dashboard of their institution's operations, not a filing cabinet full of paper records.
This is the future we are building, one kindergarten at a time. And we are just getting started. With 18 kindergartens on the platform today, we have barely scratched the surface of Mongolia's approximately 1,400 kindergartens. Our ambition is to become the standard digital infrastructure for Mongolian early childhood education.
Partnership with Let's Read Asia
One of our proudest achievements is the partnership with Let's Read Asia, a program of The Asia Foundation that provides open-source children's books in local languages across Asia.
Through this partnership, Bambaruush integrates a digital book library directly into the app. Children and parents can browse and read hundreds of Mongolian-language e-books and audiobooks, supporting early literacy development right from the kindergarten platform. This is particularly valuable for families outside Ulaanbaatar where access to physical children's bookstores may be limited.
The Let's Read integration represents our belief that a kindergarten communication platform should do more than just transmit information — it should actively support children's development and learning.
